Since publication of her book and revitalization of her childhood family farm which had been lost due to family tragedy in 1961, The Front Porch Promise Farm has become a community landmark, bringing hope to all who visit it. Our Story
The Front Porch Promise Farm is distinctive. It offers a brand new, breathtaking timber framed Gambrel roof barn. The barn is decorated throughout with farming antiques and vintage memorabilia. The barn is accented by a 1956 ring-and-hoop iconic stave silo, and a restored milkhouse. Its four acres are hemmed in by picturesque crop fields
The Front Porch Promise Farm is distinctive. It offers a brand new, breathtaking timber framed Gambrel roof barn. The barn is decorated throughout with farming antiques and vintage memorabilia. The barn is accented by a 1956 ring-and-hoop iconic stave silo, and a restored milkhouse. Its four acres are hemmed in by picturesque crop fields. The former livestock grain storage room was converted into a unique beverage service area. The bar is constructed with beams that were salvaged when the centuries-old barn was excavated in 2016. The interior of the barn with its post and beam wooden pegged architecture along with the hickory hardwood floor is warm and inviting. Its grand staircase and second-floor loft are truly spectacular and set the venue apart from all others. The minute you step inside the barn it is not hard to believe that dreams of the heart happen here!
